Here is an update on my 20% project. I am not posting any pictures of my gourmet salsa due to my embarrassment of how it turned out. Admittedly it did not taste bad, but the look of it was not all that appealing. I am going back to the drawing board to reconsider my ingredients to see how I can make it a little spicier and also to look a little redder. I used tomatoes, cilantro, onion, jalapeno, and a few spices. I think I am going to add a little habanero or another pepper in my move forward. Also, my second go around will feature some stunning pictures.
In learning how to make salsa I was surprised at one how many different kinds of salsa there, and two how many different ways there are to go about making it. I am trying to make a salsa that resembles the taste of this salsa I ate at a small café in Arizona where I once lived that I have never quite seen replicated. Essentially, I am trying to learn how to make Zamora’s Café salsa. Right now I am just experimenting with different ingredients and different methods of creating salsa and then narrowing it down to how I want it. Another update will be following shortly.
