Week four of my 20% project was another good week of progress. I maintained the same recipe as last time, but added some lime and a few less peppers to the mix. I think the blend came out pretty well, but I am still unsure if I like the lime in it. I plan to tinker with my mix some more to get it where I like it.
Admittedly, a few weeks ago I was dreading continuing with this because I just wasn't sure that I would get it how I anticipated. It started how fun, but I was getting a tad frustrated. However, I decided to exercise some patience, not my strongest virtue by any stretch of the imagination and it has worked out well. I let the salsa sit in the refrigerator and I added some salt here, and cilantro there, and it started to taste really good. My family really enjoyed eating it and it disappeared rather quickly.
I think this is something I will continue to experiment with long after this project is done. I want to keep learning how to perfect this blend and continue to learn to make different types of salsas. I am enjoying this and hopefully I am going to keep tweaking things and making adjustments to see what I like and do not like.
